Step by step instructions
Futuro belongs to the simple tenses group, which means that all of the conjugated forms are one word long. There are also compound (compuesto) tenses in the Spanish language, where each conjugated form consists of two words.
The verb decir has an irregular conjugation in the Futuro tense of the Indicativo mood.
The basis for this conjugation is an irregular stem dir, but all the endings stay the same as in the regular conjugation
Use the irregular stemdir in each person
Next, add to this irregular stem the endingsspecific to each person
In this tense we use the exact same endings in each of the three conjugation groups -ar, -er, -ir. Check out the image showing all the endings. Notice both the colors and shapes of the letters. It should help you find patterns and make it easier to remember these endings.
Add the regular ending-é for the first person singular in order to get diré:
yo diré
Similarly add the regular ending-ás for the second person singular in order to get dirás:
tú dirás
And again add the regular ending-á for the third person singular in order to get dirá:
él dirá
ella dirá
usted dirá
Once more add the regular ending-emos for the first person plural in order to get diremos:
nosotros diremos
nosotras diremos
And once more add the regular ending-éis for the second person plural in order to get diréis:
vosotros diréis
vosotras diréis
As before add the regular ending-án for the third person plural in order to get dirán:
ellos dirán
ellas dirán
ustedes dirán
