Spanish Conjugation Glossary

» tú (you – familiar, singular)

is a Spanish personal pronoun, grammatical second person singular. In Spanish conjugation the inflected verb forms in this person always end with the letter s, except in the Affirmative Imperative.

Whether a given speaker uses or usted when addressing another person depends on the context, situation, the level of familiarity, and even on the particular region the speaker originates from, as the Spanish language is spoken in various locations around the glob, so just like English it has multiple flavors and characteristics.
